Radio Interviews
A series of interviews conducted in Spanish and recorded at KGNU Community Radio's studios as part of "Pasa La Voz" (eng: "Spread the Word"), which airs every Sunday from 4 pm to 5 pm. The interviews cover topics of interest for the Latino community in Boulder County and beyond. Gabriela Buitrón and Alex Ortega are both Dreamers (DACA recipients) and community organizers for the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC). They discuss the situation of Dreamers in the US after the 2016 presidential election results, and what can be done to organize for the protection of their DACA status.

Nino Gallo directs the Personal Investment Enterprise (PIE) program for Boulder County. PIE's mission is to provide tools that empower people with low-income to save and build assets to strengthen their economic stability. Guio Bravo is a bilingual medicare counselor for Boulder County.

Max Nealon is a counselor for one of the high schools in the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). Max is also a self-described singer/songwriter, therapist and spiritual seeker. Max talks about the stress experienced by undocumented students in BVSD, and how we, as a community, can better support them.

Sonia Marquez and Angel Sanchez: The Future
Sonia and Angel are a husband and wife team of activists in favor of immigration reform. They work with Latinx youth to become community organizers, using art and creative forms of expression. Sonia was recently awarded the Peacemaker of the Year award from the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center.

Empowerment & U Visa
Patricia Molina and Guadalupe Cardoza are both Mexican by birth. They arrived in the US many years ago, as undocumented immigrants, in search of a better life for their young families. In both cases, they have been able to stay here on "U" Visas, for the protection of victims of violence. These are their stories.

Pilar Prostko & Ximena Serrano: Race Dialogues

Pilar coordinates CU Dialogues Program at CU Boulder in order to bring diverse members of the community together with students to talk about complex subjects like gender, class and race. Ximena Serrano is a scholar of Latin American and U.S Latinx literature and cultural studies, her work moves across genres of literature, film, visual arts and performance.

Manuela Sifuentes as Director of Community Partnerships between CU Engage and community organizations promotes collaborative projects that aimed to serve marginalized populations. She talks about the first Noche de Peña hosted by the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder. Peñas serve as a way to resist injustices in Latin American with live music, poetry and improvise informal participation.
